The Big Twenty-One.

Hey guys :) I hope you all are well! I'm always amazed at how there's still people coming here despite me being  sort of MIA on this blog hahaha.

Anyways, it's pretty much a tradition for me to post about my birthday every year; and it's my big 21st this year, so i thought i'd do it now.

This year my birthday is pretty much filled with many pleasant surprises! I don't know about you, but even small little things would make my day so, :) I had dinner with my favourite girls (Valerie Aw Hui Fang. if you're reading this, i miss you!) at Nobu Restaurant in Burswood. It's a new restaurant in town, and I think it's pretty famous all around the world too. They have chain stores in Tokyo, the states etc. It's fine-dining by the way, so you'd expect things to be a bit on the pricey side, but boy, the food is amazing. Like, seriously. Maybe it's just me, I'm a big fan of Japanese dishes, if you didn't know. I'll post up pictures later.

And the highlight of the night? My silly friend being the surprise! She told me she wouldn't be able to come because she's working, I was pretty upset about it, for like days hahaha! But when we reached the place, the lady at the counter asked, "Oh so who's celebrating her birthday today?" I was pretty shocked, because I never told them I'm booking a table for my birthday! And this, was sitting on the table when we went inside the restaurant;

Then my friend suddenly appeared right behind me. I was staring at her at disbelief for a good 10 seconds. But yeah that's the surprise! And also, thank you echo from picking me up from home! I get to not be the driver for a day haha :p

I love the crytal balls lights! But the first question my friend asked when she saw it was, how on earth do they clean these one by one?! hahaha.
And i love the ambience :) well i'd say it would be a good place for dates. And to impress, I guess.

Unagi Sushi Rolls.

Salmon Sashimi.

Spicy creamy sauce.

Pork Belly Miso Caramel.

Rib Eye.

I like it medium-rare :)

Soft shell crab sushi rolls.
Tofu Tobanyaki.
What's a proper meal without desserts, right? :)

Bento Box with Green Tea ice cream and Goma Tuille.

Banana Harumaki with Goma Ice Cream and passionfruit coulis

Santadagi filled with White chocolate and ginger, coffee ice cream and raspberry Coulis. I only had a bite of this, because I can't eat ginger D: My friend said it was heavenly though.
THIS. I love this. Firstly, it's green tea. Second, the birthday wish is written in Korean. I'm really touched at how much efforts the girls put in all this :') and they know me pretty well i must say.

i heart you all!

what girls do in washrooms :p

and that pretty cool camera i'm holding is my present from the girls :)

Part of burswood. It looks so fancy, really.

This will be my 22nd birthday present? :p hahaha jks. I like 370z better. But it being a dream car means that i'll have to get it myself :)
Dinner with the bestie the next day :) At Dae Jang Geum because it's a tradition for me to go to a korean restaurant for my birthday each year hahaha and i'm sticking to it. I must say, it's one of the best korean restaurant I've tried in the town.

Seafood pancake is a must-try. The skin is really crispy, I like.

Hungry yet? :p

Look at what someone packed home?! Seriously acting like an aunty lor hahahaha.

Oreo Birthday Cake :)

The Dungarvan Court peeps :) plus siew hui this time! It's funny how our group photo always ended up looking like a family photo hahaha.
My uni friends brought me out for a birthday dinner too, but I forgot to take a proper group picture ): Maybe because everything was so kelam-kabut and all that. Dinner was fun despite me being a greedy hippo and eating like there's no more (because it was buffet-style!) and with extra doses of ice-cream at Baskin Robins, yum!

My new baby :)

Peter became all my friends' new love this year, apparently. The sleepwears are too pretty to show it to anyone okay  if you get what I mean.

I love mails, seriously. This came by one day when I got back from uni! All the way from England :')

Like what it said, SURPRISE! hahaha I seriously wasn't expecting this, not a bit. I love handmade cards :) i mean gifts are nice but handmade cards pretty much means that you've put in time and effort for it. Oh, and the owl is there because I am an owl!

And these! You'll never get tired of getting beauty/cosmetic stuffs :) I have now a pretty decent collection of perfumes!

And this! I must say, the present is pretty cool :D but uncle, i'll use it when I'm back in Miri okay!
I'm pretty thankful for all these friends God blessed me with in life
Life would totally be horrible here, with uni and stuffs, if it's not for them!

And of course, not forgetting all the texts, tweets, wall posts, calls I've got! I promise I've read each and every one of them. Ahh and the earliest birthday wish I've got from you :') But if anyone of you are reading this, thank you so much for making my 21st so amazing, really.

My 21st would be perfect though, if the parents were here with me. Ahh but one can't be so greedy. It's okay, I'll be seeing them in a month's time. Of course, the two little monkeys at home too!
